Frequently asked

How do I reset my level progress?
Open Settings from the menu, then tap Reset progress. You'll go back to Level 1 (Apprentice).
Why is the game free? What's the catch?
No catch. Version 1 ships with no ads, no in-app purchases, and no tracking — the whole game is yours from the App Store. A small optional tip jar may appear in a later update for those who want to support the next ancient game.
Will you add online multiplayer or Game Center?
Not in version 1 — it's solo against the AI or local pass-and-play with a friend. Online play is on the list for a future version, no promises on timing.
Where does the name "Dilmun" come from?
Dilmun was a Bronze Age trading civilization on the Persian Gulf mentioned in Sumerian texts — a quiet, peaceful place where the gods were said to live. It felt like the right name for a tiny label making games about the ancient world.
Will you add more levels, or harder AI?
Level 14 (King) is already the toughest the AI gets — it makes essentially no mistakes within its 800 ms search budget. If you're consistently beating it, write in and brag.
Are you working on other ancient games?
Yes. The plan is for Timeless Games to grow into a small catalog of ancient classics — Mesopotamian companions to Royal Ur first, and a separate Timeless Games: Egypt app with Senet, Mehen, and Hounds & Jackals further down the road.
